Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) has been used in orthopedics to promote natural healing from injuries. How Is A PRP Treatment Performed?
Platelet-Rich Plasma is a non-surgical procedure. First, we take a sample of blood just as though you were getting blood drawn for analysis. The blood is treated and concentrated in a centrifuge that extracts the growth factors, proteins, and platelets.
We apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment areas and inject the platelets into the targeted sites. The concentrated platelet-rich plasma starts its work, repairing and regenerating the skin, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and other tissues in the area.
